The modernisation of the E30 railway line between Krakow Mydlniki and Krakow Towarowy included, among other things, a reduction in the dynamic impact from rail vehicle traffic on the route environment. For this reason, vibration-isolating sub-ballast mats were designed in sections where nearby buildings were sometimes located even less than 40 metres from the railway line. Epufloor selected and supplied 9,672.00m2 of mats with the parameters required by the project. In order to speed up the ballast installation work, the mat was additionally protected with a protective layer on which vehicles carrying and spreading ballast directly onto the mat could drive.
